“Danceflora” was inspired by a natural phenomenon: organisms relying on sound cues generated within their environments to perform important biological functions. Animals & organisms have a relationship to sound that is complex and non-obvious to humans. Contemplating this sonic mystery of nature influenced my work in studio, adding depth to the sketches that would come to form this release. These four tracks are an imaginative interpretation of the dance happening outside our windows amid verdant grass, rustling leaves and perennial bloom.
